Welcome to the H&N auto-segmentation challenge 2009 website.
This competition is part of the workshop
3D Segmentation Challenge for Clinical Applications, in conjunction with
MICCAI 2009 (in continuation of the MICCAI 2007
and 2008 workshops "3D Segmentation in the Clinic: a Grand Challenge").
The goal of this competition is to quantitatively compare fully automatic methods
for segmenting anatomical structures in head and neck CT data, such as mandible
and brainstem. The data for this challenge is provided by the
Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto. It stems from a context of radiation therapy planning which
requires high delineation accuracy.
Challenge Results are now available online More (new) information is available in the About section. More will be in the answers to frequently asked questions. You may also want to visit the website for the Carotid Segmentation in CT, Prostate Tracking in MR, and Left Ventricle Segmentation in MR competitions, which are also part of the workshop mentioned above.
